Derek O'Brien got his start in music playing with the Fullerton (CA), High School Marching Band Jazz Band Orchestra and various cover bands playing parties. During his senior year, he went on to moonlight with the Fullerton College Jazz Band and drum for a local Punk Band called Social Distortion. Over the years, he went on to play drums and record with International Touring / Major Label Acts such as The Adolescents, Agent Orange, DI, Extra Fancy, Dragbeat, Punk Rock Karaoke, The Generators, The Robert Stoddard Band, Bob Woodruff, Miss Derringer, Various Singer Songwriters doing Folk, Country, Blues, Rock, Latin, Techno, Glam, and mixtures thereof, TV ads for Saturn, Comcast, Dunkin Donuts, TV Series “Men In Trees”, various indie films etc….
